Ripley, Ohio, Friday, July 13th
Ripley Friends of the Library Annual Potluck event is featuring John Chapman a.k.a. Johnny Appleseed telling stories about how he got started, where he has been, and where he hopes to be going. Hank Fincken has portrayed Johnny Appleseed in over 1000 performances, including the Ohio Chautauqua, and is finally coming to Ripley.
The event will be held on the lawn behind the Ripley Museum at 219 N. Second Street. Tables will be up at 5:30, potluck dinner at 6:00 p.m. and the performance at 6:45 p.m. Friends of the Library will be providing ‘meat and potatoes’, drinks and dinnerware. Guests are encouraged to bring a side dish to share.
Parking will be available at the Church of the Nazarene across from the museum. In case of inclement weather, the performance will be held at the church.
This event is free and open to the public.
